Barrel Sample. This organic estate has made a lush, darkly tannic wine. Its broad fruit is textured with generous tannins that are bolstered by acidity. It has great potential for the cellar.

The 2019 La Tour Figeac, from an estate currently experimenting with ageing their Cabernet Franc in clay amphorae, offers ripe black cherries, violets and crushed stone on the delineated nose. Theses constitute some of the best aromatics that I have found in a La Tour Figeac in recent years. The palate is clean and fresh with bold tannins and very mineral driven. A sappy, marine-tinged finish expresses its terroir with style. Unquestionably, this is the best La Tour Figeac that I have ever tasted…might it be yours too?

Si le nez demeure discret, mais avec des arômes de cerise et de noyau, la bouche ronde et opulente sans être très massive offre un vin raccord avec son terroir, il est fondant, sur la douceur, d’une grande buvabilité donnant dès maintenant du plaisir.
